Nyri Privacy Policy

Effective date: April 21, 2026 This Privacy Policy explains how Nyri collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use Nyri services, including the Nyri RealWear app, the Nyri web app, and related services. For questions, contact us at: team@nyri.ai

1. Overview

Nyri provides software that allows authorized users to connect supported wearable devices to their Nyri account, start hands-free sessions, and interact with Nyri services using voice, camera, and related session controls. This Privacy Policy applies to:
  • The Nyri RealWear app
  • The Nyri web app at https://app.nyri.ai
  • Nyri account and pairing services
  • Nyri support and related services
If you use Nyri through your employer or another organization, your organization may control your account and may have additional policies that apply to your use of Nyri.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to provide, secure, support, and improve Nyri.

Account Information

We may collect account information such as:
  • Name
  • Email address
  • Organization or workspace information
  • Login and authentication information
  • Account status
  • User role or permissions

Device and App Information

We may collect information about the device and app environment, such as:
  • Device type and model
  • Operating system information
  • App version
  • Device identifiers or installation identifiers
  • Network connection information
  • Session status
  • Error logs and diagnostic data

Pairing Information

When you sign in to Nyri RealWear using QR-code pairing, we process information needed to connect the wearable to your Nyri account. This may include:
  • Pairing request information
  • Session or pairing identifiers
  • Authentication status
  • Time of pairing
  • Device association information

Session Information

When you start a Nyri session, we may process information related to that session, such as:
  • Session ID
  • Session start and stop times
  • Microphone status
  • Camera status
  • Connection status
  • Session events, such as starting, stopping, muting, unmuting, enabling camera, or disabling camera

Voice and Audio Information

When the microphone is enabled during an active session, Nyri may process audio from the device microphone so the service can understand and respond to your requests. Audio is used to provide the voice assistant experience and related session functionality. When the microphone is turned off, the app does not send active session microphone audio.

Camera Information

When camera sharing is enabled during an active session, Nyri may process camera images or video from the wearable device so the service can provide camera-enabled assistance. Camera information is used only when camera sharing is enabled during an active session. When the camera is turned off, the app does not send the active session camera view.

Support Information

If you contact us for support, we may collect information such as:
  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Organization
  • Device information
  • App version
  • Description of the issue
  • Screenshots, logs, or files you choose to provide

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:
  • Create, authenticate, and manage accounts
  • Pair supported wearable devices with authorized Nyri accounts
  • Start, maintain, and end Nyri sessions
  • Provide voice assistant functionality
  • Provide camera-enabled assistance when camera sharing is enabled
  • Show session status, microphone status, and camera status
  • Maintain app functionality during active sessions
  • Troubleshoot errors and improve reliability
  • Protect against unauthorized access, fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Provide customer support
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Improve Nyri services

4. Microphone and Camera Controls

Nyri RealWear is designed to give users control over microphone and camera access during a session. You can control the microphone using:
  • “Mic On”
  • “Mic Off”
  • The on-screen microphone control
You can control the camera using:
  • “Camera On”
  • “Camera Off”
  • The on-screen camera control
You can end the active session using:
  • “Stop”
  • The on-screen Stop control
You can sign out using:
  • “Logout”
  • The on-screen Logout control

5. Background Operation

During an active session, Nyri RealWear may continue running in the background so that session functionality can continue. When an active session is running, the device may show an active-session notification. To stop active session activity, end the session by saying “Stop” or using the on-screen Stop control.

6. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information in the following situations:

Service Providers

We may share information with trusted service providers that help us operate Nyri, such as providers of:
  • Cloud hosting
  • Authentication
  • Communications infrastructure
  • AI processing
  • Error monitoring
  • Security
  • Customer support
These providers are authorized to process information only as needed to provide services to Nyri and are expected to protect the information they process.

Your Organization

If you use Nyri through an employer, customer, or other organization, that organization may be able to access information related to your account and use of Nyri, depending on its agreement with Nyri and account settings. This may include:
  • Account information
  • Device association
  • Session metadata
  • Administrative logs
  • Support information
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:
  • Comply with applicable law
  • Respond to lawful requests
  • Protect the rights, safety, and property of Nyri, our users, customers, or others
  • Detect, prevent, or address fraud, abuse, security, or technical issues

Business Transfers

If Nyri is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate protections.

10. Device Permissions

You can manage app permissions through your device settings. Disabling permissions may limit app functionality. For example:
  • Disabling microphone permission may prevent voice interaction.
  • Disabling camera permission may prevent camera sharing.
  • Disabling network access may prevent sign-in and sessions.

11. Children’s Privacy

Nyri is intended for use by businesses, organizations, and authorized users. Nyri is not intended for children under 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. 12. International Data Transfers

Nyri and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you are located. When information is transferred internationally, we use appropriate safeguards where required by applicable law.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice where required. Your continued use of Nyri after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means you acknowledge the updated policy.
